Diplomatic relations established between Monaco and Turkmenistan

The Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Turkmenistan signed a joint communiqué on 27 August 2015, establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. Under instructions from their respective governments, Monaco’s Ambassador to France, H.E. Mr Claude Cottalorda, and the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France, H.E. Mr Tchary Niiazov, signed the joint document.

The ceremony, involving diplomats from the two embassies, took place in the Monegasque Chancery in Paris.

After signing the agreement, the two ambassadors welcomed the official establishment of relations. They also discussed their respective activities in France and the prospects for developing a friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries.

Turkmenistan is the 122nd state to establish diplomatic relations with Monaco.
