Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between The Principality of Monaco and Laos

The Principality of Monaco and the Lao People's Democratic Republic established diplomatic relations with the signature of a Joint Communiqué on 27 November 2015.

This document was signed by H.E. Mr. Claude Cottalorda, Ambassador of Monaco to France, and H.E. Mr. Ouan Phommachack, Ambassador of Laos to France, both duly mandated by their respective Governments.

The ceremony, attended by diplomats from the two Embassies, took place at the Monegasque Chancery in Paris.

At the end of the ceremony, the two Ambassadors welcomed the values that both countries share, especially with regard to the French language, despite the distance that separates them.

The Lao People's Democratic Republic is the 126th State to establish diplomatic relations with Monaco.
