On the occasion of the 158th session of the General Assembly of the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE), held in Paris on November 25th, HE Mr. Claude Cottalorda, Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco in France, was elected President of the Committee on Information and Communication for a term of two years.

He succeeds H.E Mrs. Sophie Thévenoux, Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco in Belgium, who held this position between 2013 and 2015 when she was Ambassador in Paris.

The Commission on Information and Communication, one of the four Commissions of the Organization, is responsible in particular for the development of the communication policy of the BIE.

As a reminder, the BIE is the Intergovernmental Organization responsible for supervising and regulating all international non-commercial exhibitions. Today, four main types of exhibitions are organized under the auspices of the BIE: Universal Exhibitions, Specialized International Exhibitions, Horticultural Exhibitions and the Milan Triennale.

The Principality of Monaco has been a member of the International Exhibitions Bureau since 1958.
