H.E. Mr. Claude Cottalorda Presents His Letters of Credence in the Principality of Andorra

On 30 October 2015, H.E. Mr. Cottalorda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Presented his Letters of Credence to His Grace Monsignor Joan-Enric Vives i Sicília, Bishop of Urgell and Episcopal Co-Prince of Andorra.

On the previous day, H.E. Mr. Claude Cottalorda met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra, Gilbert Saboya Sunyé. At this meeting, the points of convergence between the two countries and the importance of a concerted approach to the negotiations under way with the European Union were discussed.

The ceremony to present the Letters of Credence was held in the Throne Room of the Episcopal Place, seat of the Co-Prince, in La Seu d’Urgell, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra and Joseph M. Mauri, Personal Representative of the Co-Prince.

During the meeting that followed the ceremony, H.E. the Co-Prince and H.E. the Ambassador discussed the values that the two Principalities share. Monsignor Joan-Enric Vives i Sicília asked H.E. Mr. Mr. Cottalorda to pass on his affectionate greetings to T.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, and to T.S.H. the Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.
