A Monegasque delegation, comprised of H.E. Mr. Claude Cottalorda and Mr. Mathias Raymond, Third Secretary at the Embassy of Monaco in France, took part in the 96th session of the Permanent Council of La Francophonie (PCF) and the 31st session of the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie (MCF), held from 9 to 11 October 2015 in Yervan, Armenia.

Monaco participated in the PCF's debates on "political, diplomatic and economic issues" and on "administrative, financial and cooperation issues."

During the MCF, the Ambassador also presented the Principality's positions on "current political affairs in the French-speaking area and on the activities of La Francophonie and its bodies."

At the end of this work, ten resolutions were adopted, including four major texts relating to youth, the environment (a topical subject prior to the forthcoming Climate Conference in Paris), and the issues of genocide and migration.

As a reminder, the Principality has been a very active member of the International Organisation of La Francophonie since its creation in 1970. The work of this Organisation is followed by the Ambassador in his capacity as Personal Representative of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and the Prince's Government to the Permanent Council of La Francophonie and by the diplomats of the Embassy in Paris.
