Before the entry into force of the Paris Agreement, Ségolène Royal, Minister of the Environment, Energy and Sea and President of COP21, invited the Ambassadors in Paris to a meeting of exchange on ratifications, coalitions and prospects, to prepare for COP22.

During the meeting, Mrs Royal announced that 79 countries had so far ratified the Paris Agreement. She then recalled the four pillars that will enable its success:

1 - Ratification and implementation

2 - National contributions

3 - Financing

4 - Agenda for solutions (coalitions)

Some Ambassadors, including the Ambassador of the United States, India and Morocco, gave speeches to confirm the support and commitment of their country. Morocco is this year hosting COP22.
