Reception of Monaco’s Embassy in France to celebrate anniversary of H.S.H. Prince Albert II’s accession

On 5 July 2016, the Embassy of Monaco in France celebrated the anniversary of H.S.H. Prince Albert II’s accession at the Pavillon Ledoyen on the Champs Elysées.

H.E. Mr Claude Cottalorda, Monaco’s Ambassador in France, together with his wife and Ms Isabelle Rosabrunetto, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, welcomed almost 500 guests, including H.R.H. the Prince of Bourbon Two Sicilies, former ministers Ms Elisabeth Guigou and Ms Nicole Fontaine, numerous ambassadors, deputies and senators, including the Chairs of the Franco-Monegasque Friendship Groups in the French Senate and National Assembly, Mr Christophe-André Frassa and Mr Jean-Claude Guibal, H.E. Mr Christian Masset, Secretary-General of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of French ministries, Mr François Weil, Rector of the Academy of Paris and Chancellor of the Universities, as well as leaders of major French businesses.

A large number of Monegasque nationals living in Paris and the surrounding area also attended the evening event.

In his speech, the Ambassador reiterated that Monaco is a country which is open to Europe and the world, responsible and supportive, and an advocate for the protection of the planet. He also underlined the country’s attractiveness, the dynamism of its economy and its solid public finances.

During the morning before the event, Ms Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, gave a presentation at the Embassy on the Principality’s urban development policy to Monaco’s consuls in France.
