Representation to international organisations in Paris

International Organisation of La Francophonie

The Principality has been a very active member of the International Organisation of La Francophonie since it was founded in 1970. The Ambassador is the personal representative of H.S.H. the Prince to La Francophonie and the Embassy has a team devoted to this important issue involving a language and values shared by both France and Monaco. The Principality has filled several posts within the organisation, including Vice Chair of the Political Committee in 2011 and Chair of the Administration and Finance Committee since 2013. In addition, the country is one of the organisation’s main donors. This status and dynamism give Monaco very high visibility and make it a nation which is listened to, valued and held in high regard.
